Information Management Training

NEWS - saltTM Recordkeeping Awareness Training is now available.

The Records and Archives Office has a number of training programs to assist all University staff to gain an awareness and understanding of how to manage University records appropriately.

The training has been developed in two modes. The first is a series of online modules that provide staff with an awareness and general understanding of what their responsibilities are in relation to managing University records and to ensure compliance to the University Recordkeeping Plan.

The second mode consists of a series of training sessions that will deal with the 'how to' of recordkeeping. This training will be particularly relevant to staff members who need to apply specific recordkeeping practices in their work roles. These sessions will cover areas such as determining what records to keep and for how long, using Disposal Authorities to sentence records, transfer and destruction of records, managing electronic records, and how to classify and group like records together to enhance retrieval.
